Our Fotona Nd:Yag laser treats vessels between up to 4mm in size. The vessel walls are damaged by the heat absorbed by the blood. This then triggers the body to go in and clean up the damage as it would clean up a bruise.  It may take several treatments depending on the size of the vessels. Larger varicose veins require other treatments such as endovascular laser ablation or surgical removal but we can assist you with referral to local providers.

Rosacea can consist of a combination of increased capillary supply to the skin, dilated vessels, flushing, and sometimes acne lesions. Initial preventative treatment usually consists of topical treatments, supplements, and sometimes topical antibiotics or oral antibiotics used at reduced "anti-inflammatory" doses. Your primary care physician can get you started on these. We do have some skin care lines and topical prescription products that treat this condition available at our office, and we can write your initial prescriptions but we may also encourage you to see your primary care physician for ongoing prescription medications. We treat the unsightly larger facial vessels as spider veins and treat with the laser accordingly and then we can also treat the diffusely red areas with our Nd:Yag laser scanner and/or with the newly patented FRAC3^® rejuvenation technology with the same laser. These treatments can be done in any order or simultaneously.
